Many actions require the spy to use their hands. When a spy picks up an object, they will always hold it in a particular hand. Specifically, drinks and closed books are held with the left hand, the briefcase is held with the right hand, and statues and open books are held with both hands. Holding objects can prevent the spy from performing certain actions. This page describes the requirements for various spy actions with regards to the contents of the spy's hands:
Left hand must be empty
